Sporting Kansas City has announced the club’s full match schedule for the 2019 preseason, presented by Children’s Mercy.
For the fifth straight year, Sporting will spend both legs of preseason in the state of Arizona, training in Scottsdale from Jan. 13-31 and Feb. 6-19. Manager Peter Vermes' side will play a total of seven games prior to their Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 clash against Mexican side Deportivo Toluca FC on Feb. 21 at Children's Mercy Park.
The first phase will include tune-ups against Sporting Arizona FC on Jan. 18, Phoenix Rising FC Trialists on Jan. 23 and FC Tucson Trialists on Jan. 30.
Following a brief return to Kansas City, Sporting will venture back to Scottsdale for two 75-minute matches versus Phoenix Rising FC of the USL Championship on Feb 7 and concurrent games in Tucson against MLS rival Houston Dynamo and FC Tucson of USL League One.
All four fixtures during the second phase of preseason are part of the eighth annual Mobile Mini Sun Cup. Tickets for Mobile Mini Sun Cup games will go on sale Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. CT via Ticketmaster.com.
