Sporting Kansas City has confirmed jersey number updates for nine players heading into the 2018 MLS season.
With new arrivals joining the club and multiple returnees making switches from 2017, the numerical roster has a distinctly different look.
At the forefront, each of Sporting KC’s four international imports have selected numbers for their debut campaigns in Major League Soccer. Midfielder Yohan Croizet will wear No. 10, having switched from the No. 92 he had originally taken upon signing, while fellow Designated Player Felipe Gutierrez will wear No. 21. Scottish winger Johnny Russell will don No. 7 and Argentine defender Emiliano Amor has chosen No. 22.
Additionally, five Sporting KC players have changed their kit numbers from last season. This group includes No. 2 Amer Didic, No. 12 Gerso, No. 13 Gianluca Busio, No. 17 Roger Espinoza and No. 20 Daniel Salloi.
