Sporting Kansas City announced today the composition of the club’s roster for the 2024 MLS season, which will kick off Saturday with a visit to Houston Dynamo FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
The information below discloses the designations for Sporting Kansas City’s senior and supplemental roster, international roster spots, Designated Players and U22 Initiative Players.
Entering the 2024 campaign, Sporting Kansas City has 28 rostered players and two open roster slots. The club has filled 18 of 20 spots on its Senior Roster and all 10 on its Supplemental Roster.
Sporting has four players occupying international roster slots in 2024: Willy Agada, Zorhan Bassong, Tim Leibold and Alenis Vargas. Three Sporting players have recently received their green cards and no longer occupy international slots: Nemanja Radoja, Dany Rosero and Robert Voloder. The club currently has one open international spot available.
Sporting’s Designated Players for 2023 are Radoja, Alan Pulido and Daniel Salloi. Its U22 Initiative Players are Voloder, Logan Ndenbe and Marinos Tzionis.
