As voters across the Kansas City area turned out in record numbers for national, state and local elections on Tuesday, Sporting Kansas City defender and seven-time MLS All-Star Graham Zusi used Election Day 2020 as a platform for giving back to the community in partnership with Parisi Coffee.
Over the course of the day, all customers who visited Parisi Café Overland Park received $2 off their purchases thanks to a contribution made by Zusi and Sporting Kansas City. Zusi’s act served as a token of appreciation for the thousands of local citizens who cast their ballots during a historic Election season.
Zusi’s contribution marked the extension of a multifaceted partnership between Sporting Kansas City and Parisi Coffee that kicked off in January 2020. A Kansas City-based artisan roaster, Parisi Coffee is the official coffee of Sporting KC as well as the preferred specialty foods provider for City Foods, the club’s in-house catering service. Parisi Coffee is a local leader in Italian-style espresso, distinctive Single-Origin coffee including Cup of Excellence winners, cold brew and fine foods.
Parisi began roasting coffee in 2006 and five years later opened its first café at historic Union Station in downtown Kansas City. Parisi Coffee is available at its two café locations, select Kansas City restaurants, ParisiCoffee.com and grocery stores throughout Kansas City.
