Sporting Kansas City defender Tyler Pasher has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 15 after playing a key role in two Swope Park Rangers road victories last week. In addition, SPR forward Nansel Selbol has been named on the bench of the Team of the Week.
Pasher played the full 90 minutes in both games as the Rangers first topped Tulsa Roughnecks FC 2-1 at ONEOK Field last Tuesday before recording the game-winning assist on Selbol’s strike in the 1-0 victory over LA Galaxy II at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium on Friday.
The assist was Pasher’s first of the year, while he also recorded six tackles and three interceptions across the two matches.
Selbol was named on the bench after the Sporting KC Academy product scored his third goal of the season and his first game-winner with a crisp strike into the bottom corner from Pasher’s cutback in the second half of the victory over LA.
The Rangers are back in action this weekend when the side hosts Rio Grande Valley FC at Children’s Mercy Victory Field in Swope Soccer Village. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT and tickets are available via SeatGeek.com, while the game will be live streamed on SportingKC.com.
