For the first time since early March, the Sporting Kansas City Show has some real MLS matchups to break down and preview.
Although the MLS is Back Tournament schedule has yet to be released, Sporting Kansas City learned its group stage fate last Thursday by joining Western Conference rivals Colorado Rapids, Minnesota United FC and Real Salt Lake in Group D.
The newest episode of the weekly podcast debuted Tuesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB, serving up an early Group D preview with guest appearances from each of Sporting's upcoming opponents.

The historic MLS is Back Tournament will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, marking the emphatic return of MLS action after the 2020 season was suspended March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sporting Kansas City’s three group stage matches will count toward the 2020 MLS regular season standings, with a full tournament schedule—including match dates and broadcast details—to be announced in the coming days.
Group stage play will begin July 8 with the tournament opener between Orlando City SC and Inter Miami CF. The Round of 16 will run from July 25-28, followed by the Quarterfinals (July 30 – Aug. 1), Semifinals (Aug. 5-6) and Championship on Aug. 11.
The tournament winner will earn a spot in the 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League and all clubs will have the opportunity to earn additional bonuses as part of a $1.1 million prize pool.
