Sporting Kansas City's offseason is nearly over. With just four days until the 2022 campaign kicks off, a new edition of the Sporting KC Show aired on Sports Radio 810 WHB on Wednesday to set the stage for Sunday's nationally-televised showdown between Sporting and Atlanta United FC inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Hosts Nate Bukaty and Aly Trost crashed the club's annual event for Season Ticket Members at the J. Rieger & Co. distillery, where fans can now purchase the third edition of the limited edition Sporting Kansas City Whiskey Label. The duo were joined by Sporting KC President and CEO Jake Reid as well as Sporting KC Senior Director of Brand Chad Reynolds for live interviews in addition to a recorded conversation with Sporting KC striker Khiry Shelton.
Sporting will open the season at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday at Atlanta United FC live on FS1 and FOX Deportes. To celebrate the occasion, Sporting will host a State Line Block Party presented by Michelob Ultra and adidas in the heart of West 39th Street in Kansas City. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT - including live music, yard games and drink specials - and the watch party will feature a large LED screen for viewing #ATLvSKC.
Sports Radio 810 WHB will broadcast five hours of Sporting KC coverage on Sunday beginning with a Special Sporting Preview Show at noon live from the fan event. Bukaty will be joined by color commentator Jacob Peterson at the State Line Block Party while Trost will provide listeners with fieldside reports from Atlanta. Following the match, The Final Whistle postgame show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB to recap and analyze all the action.
