The Sporting KC Show Podcast, dropping throughout the season on Sports Radio 810 WHB, is now available on Spotify and iTunes. With Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine hosting the weekly program, Sporting fans now have a place to go to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show Podcast debuted Tuesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB with hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine, who looked ahead to Sunday's crucial contest between Sporting Kansas City and Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field and welcomed one of the club's center forwards to the program.
The podcast featured an appearance from Erik Hurtado, who has overcome a nagging knee injury that kept him out over four months to make his highly anticipated return to the field. Hurtado, who joined Sporting ahead of the 2019 campaign, made his MLS debut for the club in last Friday's loss at New York City FC and hopes to play an increasingly important role as the calendar turns to August with Sporting chasing a playoff spot.
The gang also discussed a pair of upcoming events, beginning with Sports Trivia Night this evening at No Other Pub. Team registration for Sports Trivia Night remains open at SportingKC.com/trivianight and will see teams of two to four players square off for prizes, compete against a squad of Sporting players and enjoy an all-inclusive food buffet with competition beginning at 6 p.m. CT sharp. The interactive contest, emceed by Bukaty, will run in conjunction with tonight's MLS All-Star Game as Sporting defender Graham Zusi and the MLS All-Stars face Atletico Madrid at 7 p.m. CT on FOX and UniMas.
The final segment of the show shines light on Sporting Salutes, an immersive military appreciation night on Aug. 10 at Children's Mercy Park. The home match against Real Salt Lake will also serve as the third annual Sporting Salutes, with 12 local Purple Heart recipients to be honored before the game and a wide variety of camo merchandise available for purchase at SportingStyle.com beginning Monday, Aug. 5.
