An new episode of the Sporting Kansas City Show debuted Tuesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB as hosts Nate Bukaty, Carter Augustine and Aly Trost welcomed a pair of Sporting midfielders in Wan Kuzain and Roger Espinoza.
Kuzain, a 21-year-old Sporting KC Academy product, is one of the very few MLS players who can claim to be competing for a title this weekend, albeit in the virtual realm. The championship episode of the eMLS Tournament Special will air at 5 p.m. CT Sunday on FS1 as Kuzain and eMLS player Alekzandur play for the title in a FIFA 20 competition benefiting Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.
Espinoza, meanwhile, has joined Kuzain and several other Sporting players for the start of voluntary individual workouts at Compass Minerals National Performance Center, formerly Pinnacle. The World Cup and Olympic veteran has entered individual workouts in great shape and gave listeners a first-hand account of the new-look action at Sporting's world-class training facility. Voluntary individual workouts are held in compliance with detailed health and safety protocols that were created in consultation with MLS as well as medical and infectious disease experts.
