The Sporting KC Show Podcast, dropping throughout the season on Sports Radio 810 WHB, is now available on Spotify and iTunes. With Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine hosting the weekly program, Sporting fans now have a place to go to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.
The newest episode of the Sporting KC Show Podcast welcomed French midfielder Yohan Croizet and goalkeeper coach Alec Dufty, who joined hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine on Tuesday at the club's Pinnacle training center.
Croizet, who scored on a brilliant chip shot in Sporting's 1-1 draw at the Houston Dynamo on Friday, shared details of his childhood as an aspiring youngster who built his game on the streets of Sarrebourg, France. He also reflected on the current golden age of French soccer, with Les Bleus winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup last summer in addition to hosting the Women's World Cup this month.
Dufty, who became the Swope Park Rangers goalkeeper coach in 2016 before landing the same role with Sporting in 2017, gave background on a playing career highlighted by stints with the New York Red Bulls and Chicago Fire. He then opined on the keys to developing successful goalkeepers at the academy level and how the United States can continue to be viewed as a hotbed for goalkeeping talents across the globe.
Bukaty and Augustine kicked off the episode by recapping the well-earned draw in Houston and capped the show by looking ahead to Friday, when Sporting will visit Toronto FC at 6 p.m. CT. Sporting are unbeaten in nine straight regular season meetings against the Reds and will hope to make it 10.
