Davis made his second career start for Sporting Kansas City on Tuesday, playing the full 90 minutes at right back with both Graham Zusi and Kayden Pierre sidelined with injuries. The 21-year-old Sporting KC Academy product is in his third season with Sporting Kansas City and has made seven career appearances for the club across all competitions.
"I thought that Jake actually played really well in the game," Sporting KC Manager Peter Vermes said postgame. "He was smart for the most part. He was good on the ball. He was calm. He wasn't trying to rush things. His positioning was good."
Sporting Kansas City will next face CF Montreal at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park as the MLS campaign continues. Tickets for the cross-conference clash are available via SeatGeek, including the Bud Light Easy to Enjoy Pack and the SKC x Royals Ticket Pack.Â
Saturday's showdown will stream on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers in both English and Spanish. In addition, local radio broadcasts will be available on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.
