Sporting Kansas City announced today the upcoming launch of SportingStudio, an experiential retail and event space opening on Black Friday in The Kansas City Power & Light District.
“We can’t wait for guests to visit SportingStudio, which will feature numerous new and unique items that are unavailable anywhere else,” said Sporting Kansas City Chief Revenue Officer Gregg Allen. “As Sporting Kansas City continues the club’s run in the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs and we gear up for the holiday season, we are thrilled that SportingStyle will be able to offer fans a destination fully designed and devoted to enhancing their retail experience with us during such an exciting time of the year.”
“Our partnership with Sporting began when we hosted the first FIFA World Cup watch parties in 2010, and then we built on the relationship by setting a new standard together for MLS All-Star and MLS Cup events,” said Kansas City Power & Light District President John Moncke. “We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership and welcome the innovative SportingStudio into the District. This one-of-a-kind retail experience is another reminder of the ongoing momentum and growth in the District, and it couldn’t come at a better time as the club continues their impressive run in the playoffs.”
SportingStudio is located at 1380 Main Street in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The space is highly visible on the KC Streetcar route and features convenient access to the nearby KC Power & Light District stop at 14th and Main. Additionally, SportingStudio is just two blocks away from No Other Pub by Sporting KC which will host the club’s official watch party for the Western Conference Semifinals on Nov. 25 or Nov. 26.
Beginning with the team’s annual Black Friday sale on November 24, SportingStudio will be open for business during the hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday. SportingStudio will remain open through February with all of the club’s major upcoming retail experiences set to take place inside, including the following scheduled special events (additional details to be announced in advance of each event):
