Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club has transferred forward Marinos Tzionis to FK Čukarički in the Serbian SuperLiga.
Tzionis has made 64 appearances for Sporting in all competitions, recording six goals and two assists over the last three seasons—including two goals and one assist in 57 MLS matches. The 23-year-old began his Kansas City tenure in early 2022, arriving from Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia as a U22 Initiative signing.
Sporting will open its Leagues Cup 2024 campaign on Sunday, hosting Chicago Fire FC in an 8 p.m. CT kickoff at Children’s Mercy Park. Tickets for the match are available at SeatGeek.com with live coverage on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV, Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.
