If you enjoyed the Sporting KC Uphoria experience for the home opener, you’ll want to return for round two as Sporting Kansas City hosts the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday at Children’s Mercy Park. Whether you’re watching in the stands or in the comfort of your own home, Uphoria is your go-to mobile companion on match day and throughout the week.
Those who haven’t downloaded Uphoria can do so on the App Store and Google Play before Saturday’s showdown. Now, a glimpse of what fans can look forward to this time around.
Free Ice Cream
Last weekend it was free Oreos. This weekend, Uphoria users can sweep up a free, family-size carton of Breyers ice cream at Price Chopper locations in the Kansas City area. Offer cards work just like Groupons and are equally easy to use: simply visit your local Price Chopper, show the offer to the cashier at checkout, and enjoy your Breyers ice cream free of charge. The offer will be available Saturday at 11 a.m. and run until Monday night at midnight.
Tickets Up for Grabs
Today only, fans can open Uphoria and answer a trivia question for their chance to win two tickets to Saturday’s match at Children’s Mercy Park. The question: who scored Sporting KC’s game-winning goal against New England on St. Patrick’s Day 2012?
Mobile Ticketing
Access into Children’s Mercy Park has never been easier. Fans can use Uphoria as their ticket into the stadium by selecting the “Tickets” tab and following these steps:
- First, make sure your Sporting KC ticket account is linked to SeatGeek.
- Before entering, turn the brightness all the way up on your smartphone.
- If you’re a Season Ticket Member, add your STM Discount Card on Uphoria under the “Me” tab. More information about linking your STM Discount Card can be found here.
Selfies with Roger
With Roger Espinoza set to join the Honduras Men’s National Team next week, there’s no better time to take a selfie with the Sporting KC midfielder. MySKC Cam, located on the “Sporting KC” page, allows supporters to capture their favorite match day photos, share them on social networks and even appear on the Children’s Mercy Park videoboard. After taking a photo, click “Send to Sporting KC” and your image will enter a queue to appear in the stadium. MySKC Cam gives users five different overlay options every match.
Experience Upgrades
Fans can make their trip to Children’s Mercy Park even more exclusive by selecting the “Tix City Seat Options” tab on the Sporting KC page. The following Experience upgrades will be available Saturday.

Users can access the “Matchday” tab to view extensive live stats in a streamlined format. From lineups and formations to team stats, player stats and box scores, Uphoria provides all the details. The “Sporting KC” page also includes schedules, rosters, season stats, standings, and Sporting KC Twitter and Instagram feeds, plus the ability to shop for gear.
