Fresh off a 2-1 road victory over Minnesota United FC on Friday, Western Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City (5-1-0, 15 points) will resume their regular season campaign Tuesday against the Houston Dynamo (0-2-4, 4 points) in the club's first match at Children's Mercy Park since the home-opening 4-0 win versus Houston on March 7.
Tuesday's highly anticipated clash will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT with three hours of live coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City Plus, FOX Sports Midwest Plus and FOX Sports GO. The match will also air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM, with The Final Whistle postgame show immediately following on 810 WHB.
Following detailed safety protocols developed in conjunction with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, Sporting’s next three home matches at Children's Mercy Park will be held at a reduced capacity of approximately 14% with extensive safety protocols in place. Tickets for these games will be available exclusively to Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members via lotteries and no single-game tickets will be sold by the club on SeatGeek.com or at the stadium box office. For more information, Season Ticket Members can contact their Membership Service Executives.
Four days after facing Houston, Sporting Kansas City will venture west for a meeting with the Colorado Rapids (2-3-1, 7 points) at 8 p.m. CT on Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado. The contest will air live on FOX Sports Kansas City, FOX Sports Midwest and FOX Sports GO, including 30 minutes of pregame and postgame coverage. Sports Radio 810 WHB will once again carry the match as well as The Final Whistle postgame show, while La Grande 1340 AM will provide the Spanish call.
A new episode of "Become One: Sporting Kansas City" will debut Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City, offering behind-the-scenes footage of the club's participation in the MLS is Back Tournament and its preparation for the continued MLS regular season. The first two episodes of the documentary series are available to watch here.
A new episode of the Sporting Kansas City Show will debut at 8 p.m. CT Friday on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty, Carter Augustine and Aly Trost will hear from a Sporting KC guest and provide a comprehensive preview of Saturday's clash against Colorado. Previous episodes of the Sporting Kansas City Show are available at SportingKC.com/SportingKCShow.
Sporting Kansas City II (3-5-1, 10 points) defeated OKC Energy FC by a 3-0 scoreline in the club's regular season home finale on Saturday night at Swope Soccer Village. Head coach Paulo Nagamura's side will now prepare for a seven-game road swing to finish the campaign, which begins Saturday with a visit to FC Tulsa (2-1-4, 10 points) at ONEOK Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT with a live stream on ESPN Plus and additional in-game updates via @SportingKCII on Twitter.
