Sporting KC Weekly Schedule: July 14-20

Sporting Kansas City will remain on the road to face the Columbus Crew at 6:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday before returning home to host the LA Galaxy at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday at Sporting Park. Sporting KC sits in second place in the Eastern Conference, two points back of D.C. United following a 2-1 road win at Montreal on Saturday.

Wednesday's match will be televised live locally on KMCI-TV 38 the Spot and across the Midwest on SKCTV , with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. CT from Crew Stadium. Radio broadcasts will also be available on ESPN 1510 AM (English) and La Gran D 1340 AM (Spanish).

The team's official watch party will be held at Turn 2 inside Hollywood Casino (777 Hollywood Casino Blvd.) in Kansas City, Kansas with doors opening at 4 p.m. CT. All in attendance can take advantage of $3 Boulevard Pale Ale and Boulevard Wheat drafts, as well as $6 wings, and will be entered to win an autographed soccer ball and Sporting KC jersey.

The 2014 MLS All-Star Fan XI -- one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards -- will be revealed on Wednesday, consisting of the players with the highest combined votes at their 11 positions. Sporting Kansas City had seven players on the fan ballot: Eric Kronberg, Aurelien Collin, Matt Besler, Seth Sinovic, Benny Feilhaber, Graham Zusi and Dom Dwyer.

Saturday's showdown, the lone regular season meeting in 2014 between the past two MLS Cup champions, will kick off at 5 p.m. CT in a nationally televised match-up on ESPN2, WatchESPN and ESPN Deportes. A limited number of tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com and the first 5,000 fans inside Sporting Park will receive a Sporting KC cooler bag courtesy of Providence Medical Center.

Radio coverage will be provided by Sports Radio 810 WHB, including the Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame Show, and La Gran D 1340 AM on Saturday. Prior to the match, the 2014 Kevin Gray Awards ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. CT in the Boulevard Members Club at Sporting Park.

Sporting Kansas City will train at 9 a.m. CT on Friday, immediately followed by the team's weekly press conference with Manager Peter Vermes and a player, at the Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, MO. All media are encouraged to attend for video, photo and interview opportunities.
