Sporting Kansas City (6-8-7, 25 points) suffered a 2-0 loss to FC Dallas on Saturday and will look to bounce back Friday when the club visits Yankee Stadium to battle New York City FC (8-3-8, 32 points) at 6:30 p.m. CT. FOX Sports Kansas City Plus, FOX Sports Midwest Plus and FOX Sports GO will provide three hours of live coverage on Friday beginning at 6 p.m. CT, while Sports Radio 810 WHB and ESPN Deportes KC 1480 AM will air live radio broadcasts. The Final Whistle postgame show will also air immediately afterward on 810 WHB.
Supporters across the Kansas City region are invited to Friday watch parties at any of the club's official pub partners. Among them is No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power & Light District (1370 Grand Blvd.), serving as the flagship hub for Sporting in the heart of downtown. From 6 p.m. CT until the final whistle, No Other Pub will offer $4 Bud Light drafts, $5 Coronas and an all-you-can-eat buffet with bottomless domestic draft beers and soda.
World-class talent will abound Tuesday night as European heavyweights FC Bayern and AC Milan go head-to-head in a marquee International Champions Cup showdown at Children’s Mercy Park. Tickets for the 8 p.m. CT matchup remain available at Ticketmaster.com as two of the most storied clubs in the world square off in Kansas City, Kansas.
Fans are invited to attend the FC Bayern Pregame Prost beginning at 3 p.m. CT Tuesday at No Other Pub. Guests will have the opportunity to meet FC Bayern legends Giovane Elber and Lothar Matthaus, the latter of whom has competed in a record five FIFA World Cup tournaments for Germany. Happy hour specials will also include $2 off appetizers, $3 domestic draft beers and select $4 call cocktails.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show Podcast will debut Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine will recap a compelling weekend of MLS action and look ahead to Friday's showdown at Yankee Stadium.
All Sporting fans are welcome to the SportingStyle End of Summer Sale on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park. The event serves as the biggest sale event of the 2019 season, offering 25% off full-priced items and up to 50% off sale items. The End of Summer Sale, one of the few times throughout the year that fans can purchase SportingStyle products at a discounted price, will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT at the Budweiser Brew House inside Children's Mercy Park.
The Swope Park Rangers (3-10-6, 15 points) will play for their second straight home win on Saturday, hosting Charleston Battery (6-4-8, 26 points) at Children's Mercy Park. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and tickets are available at SeatGeek.com. The USL Championship Eastern Conference tilt will also stream live on ESPN Plus.
Sports fans will have the opportunity to play for prizes and test their trivia knowledge against Sporting players next Wednesday, July 31, when No Other Pub hosts Sports Trivia Night in conjunction with the 2019 MLS All-Star Game. Teams of 2-4 players will go head-to-head, competing for a variety of great prizes including VIP experiences at Children’s Mercy Park, match tickets, autographed SportingStyle merchandise and more. Sports Trivia Night participants will be quizzed on a wide range of sports topics, not just soccer. Team registration is now open for players of all ages at SportingKC.com/TriviaNight.
Voting for the 2019 MLS WORKS Community MVP is now open, featuring 24 finalists representing the 24 clubs in Major League Soccer. Fans can visit MLSworkscmvp.com until July 31 to vote for Sporting Kansas City representative Wendy Louque, who uses the platform of soccer to reach underserved youth throughout the metro area.
