Sporting Salutes on Saturday
On the heels of a massive 3-1 road win over first-place Seattle Sounders FC, second-place Sporting Kansas City (9-3-3, 30 points) will return to Children's Mercy Park on Saturday to host FC Dallas in the annual Sporting Salutes match presented by Hallmark.
Saturday's contest is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT and tickets are available at SeatGeek.com, including Coca-Cola Family Four Packs that bundle four general admission tickets in the South Stand, four Coca-Cola products and four Domino's pizzas. At the forefront of Sporting Salutes, Sporting will recognize five military honorees in an on-field ceremony and SportingStyle locations inside the stadium will offer a variety of limited-edition camo merchandise.
Bally Sports Kansas City, Bally Sports Midwest Plus, BallySports.com and the Bally Sports app will provide three hours of live coverage on Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. CT. The game will also air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM, with The Final Whistle postgame show immediately following on 810 WHB.
Gold Cup Semifinals on Thursday
Two Sporting Kansas City players remain with their respective national teams as the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup reaches the semifinal stage on Thursday. At 6:30 p.m. CT, midfielder Gianluca Busio and the United States Men's National Team will meet Qatar at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. At 9 p.m. CT, forward Alan Pulido and Mexico will face Canada at NRG Stadium in Houston. Both semifinal matches will be shown live in English on FS1 and the FOX Sports app and in Spanish on Univision, TUDN and the TUDN app.
The 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup Final will see the semifinal winners go head-to-head at 7:30 p.m. CT Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Fans can watch the game live on FS1 and the FOX Sports app as well as Univision, TUDN and the TUDN app.
Sporting KC Show Tonight
A new episode of the Sporting KC Show Podcast will debut tonight at 7 p.m. CT on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty, Aly Trost and Conall McCourt will hear from Sporting defender Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, discuss an exciting week of international soccer and look ahead to Sporting's home match against FC Dallas. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes and SportingKC.com, giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.
Two on Tap for SKC II
Led by head coach Paulo Nagamura, Sporting Kansas City II (3-7-5, 14 points) will continue their USL Championship campaign with two home matches this week at Children's Mercy Park. Sporting KC II will host Louisville City FC (8-3-3, 27 points) at 7 p.m. CT Wednesday before meeting Memphis 901 FC (4-4-4, 16 points) at 4 p.m. CT Sunday. Both games will stream live on ESPN Plus.
