Sporting Kansas City (7-4-4, 25 points) jumped back into first place in the Western Conference on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Minnesota United FC that extended the club's home unbeaten streak to 16 regular season matches. Manager Peter Vermes' men return to Children's Mercy Park this Saturday when they face the Montreal Impact (4-4-4, 16 points) at 7 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOX Sports Midwest. Tickets for the interconference tilt are available at SeatGeek.com, and the first 10,000 fans through the stadium gates will receive a free Rally Wear Bandana courtesy of match sponsor Mainstreet Credit Union.


Saturday's contest will be broadcast live on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM, and The Final Whistle postgame show will air immediately after the match on 810 WHB. The Sporting KC Uphoria app will also provide live updates and an exclusive offer for free Oreo cookies at Kansas City-area Price Chopper locations.


Sporting Kansas City defenders Matt Besler and Graham Zusi have joined the U.S. Men’s National Team ahead of two all-important World Cup qualifying matches versus Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico. The matchup with Trinidad and Tobago will kick off Thursday at 6:50 p.m. CT on FS1, UniMas and UDN. Three days later, the U.S. will visit Estadio Azteca in Mexico City to battle archrivals Mexico at 7:30 p.m. CT Sunday on FS1, Univision and UDN.


The Swope Park Rangers (4-4-1, 13 points) battled unbeaten San Antonio FC (9-0-3, 30 points) to a scoreless draw on Saturday night at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas. The Rangers will now embark on a three-game homestand, beginning Sunday at 4 p.m. CT when the club hosts Tulsa Roughnecks FC (5-5-0, 15 points) at Children's Mercy Victory Field inside Swope Soccer Village. Tickets for the Western Conference clash are available at SeatGeek.com or at the venue box office prior to kickoff. The match will also stream live on SportingKC.com.


Swope Park Rangers midfielder Kevin Oliveira has joined the Cape Verde Men's National Team for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier versus Uganda on Saturday at the Estádio Nacional de Cabo Verde in Praia, Cape Verde. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. CT.


Sporting Kansas City and the Kansas City Zoo are teaming up yet again to offer a soccer-themed experience on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to join Sporting KC players Benny Feilhaber, Ike Opara, Soni Mustivar and Kevin Ellis for the third annual Sporting KC Day at the Zoo. A new episode of the Sporting KC Show will air at 7:15 p.m. CT Tuesday on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine will recap the previous weekend of MLS action and look ahead to Saturday's showdown with the Montreal Impact.

The Sporting Kansas City Academy U-18s and U-16s ended the 2016-17 U.S. Soccer Development Academy regular season on Saturday, sweeping Real Colorado with a pair of three-goal victories at Swope Soccer Village. The U-18s and U-16s both earned second-place finishes in the Frontier Division and will now turn their attention to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Playoffs, set for June 22-26 in Westfield, Indiana. Both teams will learn their three group stage opponents during Wednesday's playoff draw, which will be live-tweeted at 4 p.m. CT via @ussoccer_acad. Follow @SKCAcademy on Twitter for live updates throughout the postseason.
