Sporting Kansas City will host rivals Chicago Fire at 7:30 p.m. CT on Friday at Sporting Park. A limited number of tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com and the first 5,000 fans inside the stadium will receive Sporting KC ear buds, courtesy of Pepsi.
Tonight, Sporting Kansas City All-Star Aurelien Collin and homegrown goalkeeper Jon Kempin will make a special appearance at Chipotle (49th and Main St.) south of the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri from 5:30 - 7 p.m. CT. Both players will visit the restaurant to sign autographs, take photos and interact with fans.
Sporting KC and Frito Lay have teamed up for a month-long contest, providing fans of the team an opportunity to win an autographed soccer ball plus tickets to Pitch Black on Oct. 11 or tickets to a Sporting KC home game. Fans can enter the contest by taking a photo with their favorite bag of Frito Lay chips while wearing Sporting KC apparel and sharing the photo to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #SKCFritoFan. One lucky winner will be selected today via a random drawing.
Tomorrow, Sporting KC winger Sal Zizzo will participate in a free autograph session at Kansas Sampler Oak Park (9750 Quivira Rd.) in Lenexa, Kansas from 6-7:30 p.m. CT. Fans are encouraged to bring their favorite soccer and team gear to have signed by Zizzo.
On Wednesday, the Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kansas will host Sporting KC Autograph Day featuring rookies Michael Kafari and Victor Munoz from 6-7:30 p.m. CT. The event will be held by the Legends Outlets Smokestack, near Cold Stone Creamery. All in attendance can enter for a chance to win tickets to Friday's match at Sporting park.
Sporting Kansas City midfielder Jorge Claros will be available for Honduras when they take on regional rivals Mexico at 8 p.m. CT on Thursday in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico. The World Cup veteran was one of five MLS players named to the Honduras roster for the international friendly.
On Saturday, Sporting Kansas City will host Pitch Black -- the team's annual end-of-year celebration, sponsored by Aristocrat Motors and Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City -- on the field at Sporting Park from 7-11 p.m. CT. Voting is open at SportingKC.com through Thursday for the team awards and tickets -- which include food, drink and live music -- for the event can be purchased online.
