After a vital 1-0 victory in Minnesota on Saturday, Sporting Kansas City is now within one point of playoff position as the club returns home to host two marquee matches this week at Children's Mercy Park. Sporting will welcome Leagues Cup finalists Nashville SC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday before taking on U.S. Open Cup finalists Houston Dynamo FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.

SKC II PLAYERS TO APPEAR AT RED CARD KC ASSEMBLIESÂ
Three Sporting KC II players will make special appearances at local elementary schools this week as part of the Red Card KC anti-bullying campaign established by Sporting and Children's Mercy. Midfielder Enzo Mauriz will visit Oak Grove Elementary (5340 Oak Grove Rd.) in Kansas City, Kansas on Tuesday, while forward Bakary Bagayoko will speak with students at Spring Branch Elementary (20404 E. Truman Rd.) in Independence, Missouri on Wednesday and goalkeeper Ethan Bandre will be in attendance at Norfleet Elementary (6140 S. Norfleet Rd.) in Raytown, Missouri on Thursday.
RSLvSKC AWAY TICKET REQUESTS CLOSE ON FRIDAY
Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members and members of Sporting KC supporters groups are eligible to receive complimentary tickets for Sporting away matches . Away ticket requests for Sporting's match at Real Salt Lake on Oct. 7 will close this Friday. Requests close two weeks before each away match or once the allotment of away supporters tickets is reached.
SKC ACADEMY IN ACTION THIS WEEKEND
The Sporting KC Academy will continue the 2023-24 MLS NEXT campaign this weekend as the U-14s, U-15s and U-17's host Austin FC on Saturday at Swope Soccer Village before the U-15s and U-17s travel across I-70 to play St. Louis CITY SC on Sunday in a doubleheader. In addition, the Sporting KC Academy U-19's will continue their United Premier Soccer League season with a home match against Arkansas Legacy FC at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday at Swope Soccer Village. Sporting Kansas City II have clinched a berth in the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs  and will play cross-state rivals St. Louis CITY SC at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday at Swope Soccer Village in the club's final match of the regular season. The clubs are separated by one point in the Western Conference standings and the Decision Day clash will determine seeding - and potential home field advantage -- for the postseason.
