Sporting Kansas City will conclude the month of September with two important homes matches this week in a four-day span, beginning Tuesday when the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League continues with a visit from Nicaragua's Real Esteli FC. Tomorrow's match will kick off at 7 p.m. CT at Sporting Park on FOX Sports 1 (English) and Univision Deportes Network (Spanish). Tickets are available to purchase via Ticketmaster.com or at the stadium box offices on gameday.
The first 10,000 fans inside the gates on Tuesday will receive a commemorative Dom Dwyer poster courtesy of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City to celebrate the Sporting Kansas City forward's record-breaking season. Dwyer -- who has scored in his last four matches -- ranks second in MLS with 19 goals in 2014 and broke the previous single-season club record set by Preki with 18 goals in 1996.
On Friday, Sporting Kansas City will welcome the New England Revolution to Sporting Park for a rematch of the 2013 Eastern Conference Semifinals. The match, sponsored by UMKC, will be nationally broadcast on NBCSN and a limited number of tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com. Sporting KC can move into first place in the Eastern Conference with a victory over New England, who sit three points back in the standings. Radio coverage will be available locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Gran D 1340 AM (Spanish).
EA Sports FIFA 15 will be available in stores across North America beginning on Tuesday. The popular video game series features U.S. Men's National Team captain Clint Dempsey on the cover alongside Lionel Messi and fans can choose from more than 600 clubs in 35 leagues during gameplay, including Sporting Kansas City and the MLS All-Stars.
On Wednesday, Dwyer and Sporting Kansas City teammate Chance Myers will make a special appearance from 3-5 p.m. CT inside the Sprint store at Legends Outlets (1813 Village West Parkway) in Kansas City, Kansas. Fans are welcome to attend for autograph and photo opportunities with the MLS Cup champions, and can register for the Sprint Stoppage Time Sweepstakes for a chance to win Shield Club tickets with food and drink to an upcoming Sporting KC home match.
Wednesday is also the first night of Sporting Kansas City's new Speed and Agility soccer camp for boys and girls between the ages of 10-18. Registration is required to attend the six-week camp at Swope Soccer Village with sessions led by Sporting KC fitness coach Mateus Manoel and Academy fitness coach Dave McKay.
Fans can show their support for Sporting Kansas City by voting in a pair of polls before Friday. Sporting KC is nominated for "Favorite Sports Family Experience" in KC Parent's annual Family Faves Contest and "Favorite Professional Sports Team" in Visit KC's 2014 Visitors' Choice Awards. Visit KC also made Sporting Park a finalist for "Favorite Fan Experience" and Matt Besler is a candidate for "Favorite Local Athlete" in the online survey.
