Sporting KC Youth Soccer has announced the launch of Sporting Stars, a new grassroots youth program tailored for players aged 5-8 that introduces technical skills, small-sided 4v4 gameplay and an emphasis on teamwork. Players will learn the significance of dribbling, passing and the value of working together in order to reach a common goal.

After “earning their stripes,” players will now have the opportunity to “reach for the stars” as they learn to become students of the game with continued socialization and emotional development.
Sporting Stars represents the next step in foundational development for children who have completed Sporting Stripes, the early childhood program for ages 2-5 that creates a safe and fun learning environment for children to become engaged with soccer for the first time. Sporting Stars welcomes all players looking to grow their passion in the game of soccer by learning how to approach and behave within a team training environment.
Registration for Sporting Stars is NOW OPEN with classes beginning Friday, Sept. 7. The program will feature a fast-paced curriculum that focuses on repetition and progression under the guidance of Sporting KC Youth Soccer coaches. Space is limited to 10 players per age group per class time.
