Sporting Kansas City fans and families of all ages are welcome to participate in the third annual Victory Lap 5K Run & Walk presented by Compass Minerals on Saturday, Oct. 2, at Children’s Mercy Park.
All funds raised from the event will go directly to The Victory Project, the philanthropic arm of Sporting Kansas City that helps children through all of life’s challenges.
Registration for the Victory Lap 5K Run & Walk is now open and includes a commemorative scarf and medal. Event check-in will begin at 8 a.m. CT.
Victory Lap participants will start and finish their course inside Children's Mercy Park, the world-class home of Sporting Kansas City, while also venturing through the club's training facility at Compass Minerals National Performance Center.
The Victory Project is a philanthropic foundation established by Sporting in 2013 that helps children through all of life’s challenges by uniting players, staff, fans and community partners across the Kansas City and Midwest regions.
Through numerous events and initiatives, The Victory Project is dedicated to enhancing and enriching the lives of children battling cancer, providing special experiences and opportunities to children with disabilities and making the sport of soccer accessible to kids with limited financial resources.
