Sporting Kansas City returns home to take on Western Conference foe FC Dallas tonight at Children’s Mercy Park. Sporting remains in first place in the West with a 5-2-1 (16 pts.) mark, while FC Dallas is tied for sixth after going 2-1-3 (9 pts.) in their first six games.
Sporting KC has added one player to the team’s medical report, as midfielder Roger Espinoza is not medically cleared to play after exiting Saturday’s 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids in the 16th minute. Felipe Gutierrez remains out for the season following knee surgery earlier this summer.
Dallas arrives in Kansas City with two players not medically cleared to play, as creative players Fafa Picault and Paxton Pomykal will both miss the match.
