The Victory Project was honored on Tuesday during the Kansas City Sports Awards presented by Populous as the recipient of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation's Spire Community Champion award.
The Victory Project Executive Director Lexie Clark accepted the award during the annual event, which celebrates the positive impact of sports and recognizes oustanding individuals and organizsations.

The Spire Community Champion award is given to each year to a recipient with a longstanding commitment to bettering Kansas City through sports.
Launched by Sporting Kansas City in 2013, The Victory Project's mission is to celebrate children's victories, big or small, through philanthropic initiatives supporting childhood cancer and access to soccer.
