Saturday, Oct. 3: Game 1 (1:30 p.m. CT) and Game 2 (4 p.m. CT)

The United States is one of four Group A teams that will kick off their road to Rio de Janeiro with back-to-back Olympic qualifiers at Sporting Park. CONCACAF will conduct the competition's official draw at 11 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Aug. 18 to determine the groups and matchday opponents amongst the eight qualified teams (three from North America, three from Central America and two from the Caribbean region).
The Olympic Qualifying Championship sends two teams -- the winner's of the semifinal matches -- directly to the 2016 Summer Olympics, while the third-place finisher advances to a playoff against Colombia in a final opportunity to qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio. Countries qualify using under-23 national teams (player born in 1993 or later) and the U.S. U-23 MNT features three players who played in the 2014 FIFA World Cup: John Brooks (Hertha BSC), Julian Green (Bayern Munich) and DeAndre Yedlin (Tottenham).
Sporting Park is one of four host venues for the tournament along with the StubHub Center (Carson, California), Dick's Sporting Goods Park (Commerce City, Colorado) and Rio Tinto Stadium (Sandy, Utah). The state-of-the-art stadium in Kansas City, Kansas also served as the site of the semifinals and championship matches in the previous CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship in 2012.
