First we were graced with the Ike Opara bobblehead.
Now it's goalkeeper Tim Melia's turn.
Sporting Kansas City fans will have the opportunity to secure their Tim Melia bobblehead this Friday when the club hosts Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Children's Mercy Park.
The limited-edition bobblehead — crafted in memory of Melia's jaw-dropping save in last season's 1-0 win over the Portland Timbers — will be available to the first 10,000 supporters who arrive at the stadium on Friday, courtesy of match sponsor Mark One Electric. Tickets for the 8 p.m. CT matchup are available via SeatGeek.com.
Sporting Kansas City (4-1-2, 14 points) is unbeaten in six matches and owns a four-point lead at the top of the Western Conference standings. Vancouver (3-3-1, 10 points) is tied for second in the West and was the only team to defeat Sporting KC at Children's Mercy Park last season.
