Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Tim Melia has been been nominated for MLS Save of the Week for his 16th minute stop on FC Dallas' Michael Barrios. It was Melia's lone save in Sporting KC's 2-0 win over FC Dallas. Melia has won MLS Save of the Week twice in 2016.
The quarterfinal round of voting is now open with Melia matched against D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid. Voting closes tonight (Tuesday) night at 10:55 p.m. CT. Other match-ups in the quarterfinal round include Nick Rimando vs Zac MacMath, Chris Seitz vs Clint Irwin, and Sean Johnson vs Jake Gleeson.
