Two from Sporting KC Academy to join U.S. Under-15 National Team

Jaylin Lindsey and Cameron Duke

Sporting Kansas City Academy players Cameron Duke and Jaylin Lindsey were named to the United States Under-15 Boys' National Team roster on Monday for a training camp from March 7-15 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The duo were amongst 36 players selected by head coach John Hackworth for the U15's first camp of the year.

Lindsey -- who recently moved from Charlotte, North Carolina and is currently a freshman at Blue Valley West High School -- returns to the United States U15's after receiving his first invitation at that age level in December. The 14-year-old had previously played for the U.S. Under-14 Boys' National Team in five different training camps, the first of which came in September 2013.

Lindsey has appeared in the last four matches for the Sporting Kansas City Academy U16's and scored the game-winning goal in a 5-2 victory over the San Antonio Scorpions Youth Academy last month.

He'll be joined by fellow Sporting KC Academy defender Cameron Duke, who will make his international debut at the U15 age level as the youngest player in camp and the only player not born in 2000. Duke captained the United States U14's last month during a series of three matches held in Madrid, Spain. He has also participated in two other training camps with the U.S. U14's, traveling to Carson, California in October 2014 and to Bradenton, Florida in January 2015.

Duke -- the younger brother of former Sporting KC midfielder Christian Duke -- has started nine of the Sporting KC U14's 10 matches in the 2014-15 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season to date.
