Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club’s 2022 MLS regular season away match against the LA Galaxy on Sunday, Sept. 4 at Dignity Health Sports Park will now air nationally on UniMas and TUDN, in addition to the local broadcast on 38 The Spot and a live stream on Twitter, with kick off adjusted to 7 p.m. CT.
Sporting has won three of the team’s last four road matches against the Galaxy, including a 2-0 victory on July 4, 2021 with goals from Johnny Russell and Khiry Shelton. The matchup features the two winningest clubs in MLS regular season history and is one of two meetings between the MLS originals in 2022.
The Galaxy, currently in first place in the Western Conference with back-to-back wins to open the 2022 season, will first travel to Children’s Mercy Park on Saturday, August 6 as Sporting Kansas City honors the service and sacrifice of military members and their families with the fifth annual Sporting Salutes match. Tickets for the Aug. 6 match are included in season ticket packages as well as the Marquee Match Pack or Captain’s Flex Pack.
