It wasn't nominated for MLS Goal of the Week, but Kevin Ellis' game-winning goal against the San Jose Earthquakes will go down as one of the more spectacular goals scored this year. In the 81st minute of Saturday's match at Avaya Stadium, Benny Feilhaber curled a free kick to the near post. The ball skimmed the top of Ike Opara's head and fell to Ellis who back heeled the ball past Quakes goalkeeper David Bingham. The goal caught the attention of ESPN broadcaster Alejandro Moreno, who called Ellis' goal his Filth of the Week.
