Career Summary

Canadian midfielder Tyler Pasher signed an MLS contract for Sporting KC in December 2016 after starring for the Swope Park Rangers during the club's inaugural 2016 campaign.

The 23-year-old joined the Rangers in March 2016 after a successful preseason spell and played a leading role throughout the season. He started 26 of 28 USL appearances with five goals and four assists (including playoffs), tallying three of his assists in the playoffs as the Rangers were crowned USL Western Conference champions and advanced to the USL Cup Final.

2017: MLS regular season: Started one match (45 minutes played). Earned his MLS debut against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on May 20, starting at BC Place in his native Canada. Open Cup: Did not feature. MLS Cup Playoffs: Did not feature.

2016: MLS regular season: Did not feature. Open Cup: Did not feature. MLS Cup Playoffs: Did not feature. CONCACAF Champions League: Made his debut on Sept. 13 at Children's Mercy Park, starting and playing 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

2015: Pasher made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, scoring two goals. He made his debut for the side in a 1-1 draw with Saint Louis FC (April 12) and scored his first goal later that month in a 5-1 win over Toronto FC II (April 26). Pasher scored his second goal for the club against New York Red Bulls II (July 4) – a 3-0 Riverhounds win. Pasher made two appearances in the U.S. Open Cup, coming in the Third Round against the Tampa Bay Rowdies (May 28) and the Fourth Round against D.C. United (June 18).

Before USL: Pasher began his youth career with Newcastle United of the English Premier League, before joining Toronto FC’s Academy in 2010, where he spent three years and notably captained Toronto FC’s senior team in a friendly against Liverpool in 2012. Pasher signed for Finnish side PS Kemi in 2013 and made 24 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals. The following year, Pasher joined NPSL team Lansing United for their inaugural season in the league. Pasher had three goals and six assists for Lansing in 10 games, culminating in NPSL Supporters’ XI honors at the end of the season before joining the Riverhounds.

International: Pasher has represented the Canadian National Team at the Under-17 and Under-20 levels. He made his debut for the U-17 National Team in a friendly against Mexico on April 24, 2011. Pasher was named to Canada’s roster for the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup, but withdrew due to injury. In 2013, he was called in to Canada’s U-20 team and played two of three games at the Francophone Games, held in Nice, France. Pasher was most recently called into the Canadian senior team to train ahead of friendlies against Guatemala and Puerto Rico in March 2015.
