Children’s Mercy Park will host an international friendly between the United States Men’s National Team and Bolivia on May 28 at 7 p.m. CT, U.S. Soccer announced Tuesday.
The match will be the United States’ final tune-up before hosting the Copa America Centenario, a marquee tournament headlined by the U.S., Mexico, Argentina and Brazil that features 16 nations from CONMEBOL (South America) and CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean).
The U.S. Men’s National Team will return to Children’s Mercy Park for the fifth time since the state-of-the-art venue opened in 2011. The stadium has welcomed the U.S. MNT for two CONCACAF Gold Cups (2011, 2015) and two World Cup qualifiers (2012, 2013) while also hosting the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2011 and 2014. The Men’s and Women’s National Teams are unbeaten in 12 combined visits to Kansas City all-time.
Children’s Mercy Park has also served as the site for several high-profile club and international matches, including Olympic qualifiers, the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final, 2013 MLS All-Star game, 2013 MLS Cup and 2015 Men’s College Cup.

Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members interested in securing a ticket to the match on May 28 will have access to an exclusive pre-sale before tickets are available to the general public. In addition, those who place deposits for season tickets or group tickets for the 2016 season will also receive priority consideration during the pre-sale opportunity.
Led by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, the U.S. will play two friendly matches — the first against Ecuador on May 25 in Frisco, Texas — before facing Colombia (June 3), Costa Rica (June 7) and Paraguay (June 11) in the Copa America Centenario group stage. Sporting Kansas City captain Matt Besler and winger Graham Zusi were both named to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster this month and are in contention to feature at the tournament.
The Copa America Centenario will be played in 10 cities across the U.S. from June 3-26. The competition is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of CONMEBOL and the Copa America, and will be the first edition of the tournament played outside of South America.
