The Sporting KC Academy's SKC Indigo won the U-19 age group of the 2018 U.S. Youth Futsal National Championships on Monday at New Century Fieldhouse in New Century, Kan., with a 6-2 victory over Ambassadors (Pittsburgh, PA).
The 10-player squad, listed below, opened the competition on Friday with a 3-0 victory over Cadence SF Club (Joliet, IL) before suffering a 3-2 loss to Ambassadors. The U-19's concluded pool play with a thrilling 8-8 draw against their Sporting KC Academy teammates on SKC Argyle and a 5-5 tie against Louisville Futsal Academy (Louisville, KY) to set up a rematch with Ambassadors in the final.

In addition to the U-19's national title, the Sporting KC Academy finished runners-up in the U-12 division with SKC Indigo's 5-3 loss to ABK Academy (Grand Rapids, MI) earlier today at New Century Fieldhouse.
U.S. Youth Futsal was co-founded in 1997 by Sporting KC Manager Peter Vermes and Sporting KC Academy Director of Coaching Jon Parry. The U.S. Youth Futsal National Championships, celebrating its 11th year in 2018, is the largest national youth futsal tournament in the United States with 118 teams from across the U.S. and Canada.
