Sporting Kansas City has become one of the first teams in the world to sell tickets through Snapchat.
In partnership with SeatGeek, Sporting KC has made a limited number of tickets to Saturday’s home match against the Portland Timbers available via the popular social media platform.
Utilizing Snapchat to reach a dedicated fan segment, Sporting KC is offering another innovative way for supporters to secure tickets to matches at world-class Children’s Mercy Park. With the integration of SeatGeek directly into Snapchat, fans can purchase tickets without ever having to leave the app.
To buy tickets on Snapchat, open the app and take a picture of the code below. Users will then be automatically directed to the SeatGeek ticket window.
Sporting KC and SeatGeek have collaborated to provide tickets in places supporters commonly visit, with Snapchat becoming the club’s second native social media platform to feature ticket-purchasing integration alongside Facebook.
Sporting KC currently occupies second place in the Western Conference ahead of Saturday’s pivotal matchup with the third-place Portland Timbers at Children’s Mercy Park, set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT.
