Sporting partners with BRGR to begin largest concessions refresh in Children’s Mercy Park history

BRGR partnership - burger and fries

Sporting Kansas City announced today a new partnership with BRGR Kitchen + Bar, marking the start of the largest concessions refresh since Children’s Mercy Park opened in 2011.

Locally renowned for its specialty burgers, BRGR will occupy the concession stand at section 129 of Children’s Mercy Park, offering a variety of fan-favorite menu items at every Sporting match.

“We are very excited to enhance the food and beverage experience in all areas of Children’s Mercy Park this season,” said John Moncke, Sporting Kansas City Executive Vice President, Stadium Revenue. “BRGR is a terrific addition to the stadium and the first of many new, local partnerships we look forward to announcing before our home opener on March 7.”

BRGR’s in-stadium menu will include signature burgers, traditional fries and tots, a premium chicken sandwich and the popular Beyond Burger, the first plant-based protein in the stadium.

BRGR is one of several new, locally based food and beverage partners to be unveiled ahead of the 2020 season as Sporting continues to enrich the fan experience at Children’s Mercy Park. Last month, the club launched a new partnership with Kansas City distillery J. Rieger & Co., whose products will be served during matches and at private events in the suite levels, Shield Club and additional concession locations at the stadium.

Sporting will announce more information about new partners, concession upgrades, stadium technology improvements and premium space renovations in the coming weeks.

Celebrating its 25th year as a charter member of Major League Soccer, Sporting will kick off the 2020 MLS regular season on Feb. 29 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC before hosting rivals Houston Dynamo in the club’s home opener on March 7.

The best way to guarantee tickets for 2020 home matches is to join the Sporting Kansas City family and become a Season Ticket Member. Several multi-game ticket packages for the 2020 campaign are also on sale now at SportingKC.com, including the limited-time Home Opener Pack that bundles the game on March 7 with two flex matches. Single-game tickets for the first half of Sporting’s home schedule will go on sale to the general public in the near term.
