The Sporting Kansas City family is mourning the loss of a faithful supporter and dear friend whose love of the club and the local community was unsurpassed.
Barb Goebel, a longtime Season Ticket Member who was the centerpiece of a SportingKC.com feature story in 2017, was in a cycling accident on Sunday and taken off life support this week. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy as a proud member of the Cauldron supporters group, endearing herself to countless others at home matches, road trips, charity events, tifo paintings and social gatherings.
On Tuesday, Sporting Kansas City joined the Cauldron and other supporters to express their heartfelt condolences to Goebel's family and friends.
