Sporting Kansas City and Community Blood Center held blood drives at Children's Mercy Park on May 18 (video above) and June 1, which collected 103 total units of blood and generated 26 first-time donors.

The blood drives at Children’s Mercy Park are the latest efforts in conjunction with Sporting Serves, a philanthropic platform in which Sporting Kansas City and the club’s flagship charitable arm, The Victory Project, are united with community partners to provide support for citizens across the metropolitan area. Sporting Serves has launched several programs specifically in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including a new initiative to bring high school graduations onto the pitch at Children's Mercy Park this summer. Nineteen ceremonies are currently scheduled with the first taking place tonight to honor the Bonner Springs High School Class of 2020.
