Gerso Fernandes has bid adieu to Sporting Kansas City ahead of a reported move to South Korea.
The 29-year-old winger, who had 18 goals in 107 regular season appearances across four seasons, publicly said his goodbyes to the club and their supporters in an Instagram post Sunday.
Gerso was out of contract following the 2020 season and received a Bona Fide Offer from the club. The Bissau, Guinea-Bissau native turned down that offer and reportedly is set to join Jeju United FC, which won K League 2 in 2020 and were promoted to K League 1.
Sporting Kansas City retains Gerso’s MLS rights.
