On the eve of a highly anticipated home match against Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday, Sporting Kansas City invites supporters to celebrate Sporting Blue Friday by sharing photos on social media, visiting the KC Streetcar to redeem exclusive partner offers and enjoying a Sporting Argyle Amber Ale happy hour at No Other Pub from 4-6 p.m.
At the forefront, all fans who post social media photos wearing Sporting KC gear or colors using the hashtag #SportingBlueFriday will be entered for the chance to win tickets to a future Sporting KC home match at Children’s Mercy Park.
Supporters are also invited to ride the KC Streetcar all day Friday to redeem exclusive offers from club partners. Fans can participate by scanning QR codes on eight life-sized Sporting KC foosball players—designed for the season-long Fountain City Foosball campaign—located at each of the following Streetcar locations:

Saturday’s showdown between Sporting and Houston will be the first full-capacity crowd at Children’s Mercy Park since March 7, 2020, when Manager Peter Vermes’ side beat the Dynamo 4-0 in a thrilling 2020 home opener. Sporting will mark the occasion by welcoming 1,000 local medical professionals for the contest and a limited number of tickets remain available to the general public at SeatGeek.com.
When Sporting and Houston take the field on Saturday night, they will be donning the new adidas PRIMEBLUE jerseys made from Parley Ocean plastic, upcycled plastic waste intercepted on shorelines and coastal areas. In the stands, supporters will have the opportunity to purchase the limited-edition kit at SportingStyle locations while supplies last. As part of the club’s Sporting Sustainability initiative, ticket holders will receive a sustainability bag upon exiting the stadium after the game. Additionally, Sporting Argyle Amber Ale will be available at Children’s Mercy Park concession stands for the first time.
Sporting (4-2-1, 13 points) enters the weekend on a two-game winning streak and occupying second place in the Western Conference. Forward Alan Pulido has earned back-to-back MLS Team of the Week honors and leads MLS during the month of May with four goals and 25 shots. Houston (3-2-2, 11 points) is close behind in fourth place and claimed a 1-0 home win over Sporting on May 12.
