Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Eric Dick is one of five nominees for USL Save of the Week, the USL announced on Tuesday at the conclusion of Week 10 in the United Soccer League. Voting is open online at USLsoccer.com and will close at 12 p.m. ET on Friday, May 25.
The 23-year-old rookie, selected in the first round of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft out of Butler, recorded a career high-six saves to earn Man of the Match honors in the Swope Park Rangers scoreless draw at Rio Grande Valley FC on Saturday.
His best save of the night came in the 44th minute on a penalty kick taken by Todd Wharton. Standing tall at 6'5, Dick palmed away the attempt with his left hand en route to his first clean sheet as a professional.
Dick has started three matches for the Rangers -- all on the road -- this season with 10 total saves and a 1-1-1 record.
After a three-game road trip, the Rangers will host Didier Drogba and Phoenix Rising FC at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek.com.
