Sporting Kansas City II midfielder Kamron Habibullah and his sweet, set piece strike off the insdie of the post against MNUFC 2 last Sunday is nominated for MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 28.
The 20-year-old's free-kick finish will face off against goals from MNUFC 2's Samuel Shashoua, Real Monarchs' Griffin Dillon and Chattanooga FC's Minjae Kwak in a poll on X over the next 24 hours to determine the winner.
The Canadian youth international opened the scoring in the 20th minute against Minnesota last Sunday. After forward Beto Avila won SKC II a restart just beyond the 18 in the middle of the pitch, he confidently strode to the ball, ripped it past the wall, off the post and into the back of the net.
Sporting KC II's leading scorer in 2024, Habibullah has 11 finishes this season, adding three assists in 20 starts. He was named MLS NEXT Pro Midseason Player of the Year after bagging two hat tricks in the first half of the season.
SKC II and Habibullah will retake the pitch this Sunday when they host North Texas SC at Children's Mercy Victory Field in Kansas City, Missouri. The match will stream live on MLSNEXTPro.com and tickets are on sale at SeatGeek.com for just $10.
