Swope Park Rangers forward Kris Tyrpakâs game-winner against Seattle Sounders FC 2 on June 26 has been nominated for USL Goal of the Month for June.
Tyrpak received a pass from Ualefi and beat his marker with a sharp turn before firing a low and powerful strike into the bottom corner to make the score 1-0 in the 65th minute.
The 24-year-old finishes the month of June with two goals, having also found the net against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on June 12, while he now has three goals and one assist on the season. Tyrpak was second on the team in goals scored in June, three behind fellow forward Mark Anthony Gonzalez - whose five goals were the most scored by any individual player in the month of June.
Tyrpak is the second SPR player to be up for the monthly honor this season, with Dane Kelly's blistering strike against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on April 2 nominated for Goal of the Month for April.
