The Swope Park Rangers concluded the regular season with six wins in their final seven matches and will kick off the USL Cup Playoffs at 7:30 p.m. CT on Friday at Swope Soccer Village against LA Galaxy II (tickets). Before the Rangers welcome the reigning conference champions, we look back on some of the noteworthy regular season statistics from SPR's debut in the United Soccer League.


4 - Swope Park Rangers players to appear for Sporting KC in the CONCACAF Champions League group stage. Amer Didic (3 apps), Ualefi (2 apps), Tyler Pasher (1 app) and Kris Tyrpak (1 app) became the first players to join the senior team and remain eligible for selection when Sporting KC hosts Central FC on Oct. 19 at Children's Mercy Park (tickets).


5 - Goalkeepers to appear for SPR in 2016, most among any Western Conference club. Mid-season signing Adrian Zendejas has started five matches in the final five weeks of the season, going 5-0-0 with three shutouts and a 0.40 goals against average.

7- Assists tallied by Ayrton. After joining the club in May and missing the first 10 matches of the year, the 22-year-old Brazilian finished third on the USL assists chart. SPR is 6-0-0 when Ayrton records an assist.

9 - Goals scored by Mark Anthony Gonzalez. The University of Evansville product led all SPR players in scoring and led all USL rookies in goals from open play. Only New York Red Bulls forward Brandon Allen (15 goals in USL, 7 via penalty kicks) and Seattle Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris (12 goals in MLS) have more goals among rookies in the top three divisions of American soccer.


10 - Games without a loss when SPR leads at halftime. The club is 9-0-1 when ahead after 45 minutes and 12-0-1 when ahead after 75 minutes in 2016.


12 - Games without a loss when Oumar Ballo and Amer Didic start together in central defense. The Rangers are 10-0-2 with six shutouts and a 0.50 goals against average in those 12 games. Both center backs made their professional debuts for SPR this season.

14 - Wins by SPR in the team's inaugural season, most of any club in the Western Conference. The Rangers are one of 12 USL teams owned or operated by Major League Soccer clubs. Only LA Galaxy II won more games in their expansion season with 15 victories in the 2014 season. 


16 - Team of the Week selections for SPR players, second most of any club. Amer Didic led the way with six appearances on the USL Team of the Week, most of any player in the league this season. 


20 - USL ranked the league's top 20 players under the age of 20 and Swope Park Rangers midfielder Kevin Oliveira was No. 2 on this year's list. Oliveira was USL Player of the Week in Week 12 with a goal and three assists in a 4-0 win over Rio Grande Valley FC on his birthday.


21.7 - Average age of the Swope Park Rangers, second lowest in the league behind only last-place FC Montreal. There are nine teenagers on the team's roster, including two players who have represented U.S. Youth National Teams this season: Jaylin Lindsey (U-17's) and Felipe Hernandez (U-19's).


25 - First half goals scored by SPR, second most in the USL. The only team to score more often in the first 45 minutes? LA Galaxy II, who SPR hosts on Friday in the USL Cup Playoffs opener.


27 - Different starting lineups for SPR in 30 matches this season. Marc Dos Santos started the same squad on three occasions: May 14 and May 21; May 28 and June 4; July 2 and July 9.

28 - Points claimed by SPR in the second half of the season, most in the Western Conference and second most in the league. The club climbed from 13th place in June to a fourth-place finish in September. 


30 - Games played by Christian Duke and Ualefi. The pair of midfielders have appeared in every match for the Swope Park Rangers in 2016. Ualefi, 22, started every game and Duke, a KC native and club captain, led the team in minutes played (2,540).

31 - Home points earned by SPR, second most in the USL. The Rangers went 10-4-1 at home in 2016 with 26 home goals scored, good for third most behind New York Red Bulls II (27) and LA Galaxy II (28). 


35 - Assists recorded by SPR players, second most of any team in the USL. No club had more players log assists in 2016 than the Rangers with 15 different members of the team being credited with assists.


40 - Players to appear for SPR in 2016. No playoff team gave minutes to as many players during the regular season than the Rangers. Of those 40 players, 16 came via loans from Sporting KC and four are active members of the Sporting KC Academy.


48 - Career USL goals for Dane Kelly. The 25-year-old Jamaican is the league's all-time leading scorer and added six goals in his debut season with the Swope Park Rangers, who are 6-0-0 when Kelly scores this year.
