The Rangers unveiled the club’s new secondary jersey on Friday, featuring a white base with orange elements and slate gray geometric accents.
The secondary kit will be available to purchase for the first time on Thursday, March 22 at the Rangers Kickoff Party, taking place from 6-8 p.m. CT at Fox & Hound in Overland Park, Kansas (10428 Metcalf Ave.). The jersey will also be on sale at all Rangers home games during the 2018 season, beginning with the club’s home opener on Saturday, March 24 at Shawnee Mission South District Stadium.
The Rangers Kickoff Party next Thursday is free for supporters of all ages, highlighted by food and drink specials as well as the opportunity to meet players and first-year head coach Paulo Nagamura. The team will sign autographs and participate in interactive games with fans throughout the night, consisting of pool, ping pong, darts, basketball, PacMan and more.
The new uniform, accompanied by orange shorts and white socks, includes an orange Rangers crest and Ivy Investments wordmark. The prevalence of white is accented by slate gray geometric shapes on the front side of the kit as well as the black adidas logo on the chest, adidas three stripes along the shoulders, the USL badge on the left sleeve and the black adidas Tango logo on the bottom left side.
With Nagamura at the helm after playing for Sporting KC from 2012-2016 and serving as an SPR assistant last year, the Rangers enter their third USL campaign as two-time defending Western Conference champions and the only team in league history to make consecutive appearances in the USL Cup Final. The club will begin its 2018 season tomorrow night, facing Reno 1868 FC in a 6 p.m. CT kickoff at Greater Nevada Field. The match will stream live on SportingKC.com.
