Sporting Kansas City II is set to kick off its inaugural MLS NEXT Pro campaign with a road match against Rapids 2 at the University of Denver on Sunday. Following Sunday’s season opener SKC II will play a second consecutive road match before their home opener the following week.
The SKC II home opener at Rock Chalk Park will be played against Houston Dynamo 2 on Sunday, April 10 at 6 p.m. CT. Before SKC II takes the field in Lawrence we need you, the fans to help us pick a song that will play after every SKC II goal.
Head coach Benny Feilhaber and assistant coach Ike Opara have been assembled a squad of MLS NEXT Pro contracted players and talented Sporting KC Academy products that will be boosted by Sporting KC first team loanees throughout the season.
