Sporting Kansas City II striker Wilson Harris was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week bench today after leading his side to a comprehensive 3-0 triumph over OKC Energy FC in the club's 2020 home finale at Swope Soccer Village on Saturday.
Harris, a 20-year-old product of the Sporting KC Academy, buried two clinical finishes in the first half for the 18th and 19th goals of his prolific Sporting KC II career. His fifth-minute lob set the hosts on their way to victory, while his 22nd-minute strike into the far left corner showcased his lethal precision going forward. A native of Los Angeles, Harris leads Sporting KC II with four goals this season.
Led by former Sporting Kansas City great Paulo Nagamura, Sporting KC II (3-5-1, 10 points) now faces a seven-game road swing to finish the 2020 USL Championship season. The club will visit FC Tulsa (2-1-4, 10 points) on Saturday at ONEOK Field with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. CT and a live stream on ESPN Plus.
