On Thursday, Sporting Kansas City II will celebrate the four-year anniversary of its inaugural USL Championship match against Portland Timbers 2. The historic showdown took place on March 26, 2016, at world-class Children's Mercy Park, ushering in a new component of Sporting Kansas City's professional player pathway.
To mark the historic occasion, Sporting KC II will stream the Swope Park Rangers' first match at noon CT on Thursday via Twitch.tv and Twitter. Fans can catch every minute of the action on Twitch.tv/SportingKCII and @SportingKCII on Twitter.
Known as the Swope Park Rangers from 2016-2019, Sporting KC II wrote a victorious first chapter of their inaugural campaign with a 2-1 victory over Timbers 2, receiving second-half goals from midfielder Kevin Oliveira and on-loan Sporting KC forward Daniel Salloi.
