Sporting KC II unveils new jerseys for 2020 USL Championship season

Sporting KC II uniform release - Jan. 21, 2020

Sporting Kansas City II unveiled the club’s new primary and secondary jerseys on Tuesday ahead of the 2020 USL Championship season.

The new campaign will see Sporting II take the field in the same colors as Sporting Kansas City, reflecting their role within the club's player development pathway.

The primary kit features a signature Sporting blue base with indigo elements, including the Ivy Investments wordmark, adidas logo on the chest and adidas three stripes along the shoulders and shorts. The secondary kit offers a similar look but swaps Sporting blue for indigo. Both jerseys include the new Sporting KC II crest and the USL Championship patch on the right sleeve.

Sporting KC II jerseys will be on sale at every home match during the 2020 USL Championship season. For the second straight year, Sporting II will host all home fixtures at world-class Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. Tickets for home games will be available at SeatGeek.com in the near future.

Additionally, Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members will once again have access to complimentary Sporting II tickets and can contact their Membership Services Executive for more information.

Led by third-year head coach and former Sporting Kansas City midfielder Paulo Nagamura, Sporting II will compete in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference for the second consecutive year. The 34-game slate will see Sporting II play Atlanta United 2 and Indy Eleven three times each and every other Eastern Conference side twice, once home and once away.

Sporting II is set to return seven players from the 2019 squad, including 22-year-old Portuguese winger Ze Pedro and Sporting Kansas City Academy products Wilson Harris, Will Little and Brooks Thompson. Ze Pedro joined the club midway through last season, tallying five goals and three assists in just 12 appearances. Harris, meanwhile, led the side with a team-best 12 goals—bagging 10 in his final 11 games—as one of the top-scoring teenagers in American soccer. Sporting II is also likely to field multiple MLS players on loan from Sporting Kansas City and several rising talents from the club’s Academy.
